From "ullan" (the outside [i.e. elbow] of the first joint of the arm); A name not attested anywhere, probably a corruption of Shakespeare’s Woolen bagpipe (➺ The merchant of Venice (ca. 1598), act IV, scene 1); NB¹ (plurale tantum): The term is also used when referring to 1 instrument only; NB²: ➺ Bollog na cuisli.
