Mûza (f)

(with) definite article: la
(the) ?
Müsa / Musa

Orthography in Giovanni Casaccia, »Dizionario Genovese-Italiano« (Genova, 1876 [2a ed. accresciuta]), who describes it as "a wind instrument with a bag and 3 pipes (1 for blowing, the other 2 for playing), and Gaetano Frisoni, »Dizionario moderno Genovese-Italiano e Italiano-Genovese«, 1910; According to Gioielli, this spelling in Genoese dialect "seems to testify" to his (in my perception rather poorly founded) private hypothesis that Müsa is a Gallicism (➺ Müsa).
