From "mijeh" [bellows / wineskin / goatskin]; Dalmatia region (Dubrovnik (➺ Mješnica); Grac); Hrvatsko Primorje region; Istria (Brest [with hinterland]; ➺ Mėh), &c.; According to Podnos, who erroneously spells it "Mjesnice", also in Lika, which is a region named after a river near Gospić.
