Zgłośnica (f)
tuning-hole
Venthole; From "głos" [voice / sound]; To enable fine-tuning, it is provided with a small bolt; According to Katarzyna & Maciej Szymonowiczowie, "In old-style Gajdy it is a hole in the corner of the horn, with a movable plate, which can be closed or opened to influence the pitch of the chanter. In Gajdy made by Jan Kawulok (1899-1976) of Istebna, the zgłośnica was replaced with a ring of cattle horn with a hole drilled in it. By turning the ring, the size of the hole in the Gajdzica decreases or increases".
