Symphonija (f)

?

Bagpipe: any type (even if foreign to the local tradition)

Symphoneia

Confusing Croatian spelling in Kuhač, who refers to Bénédict Pictet (1655-1724), according to whom the name was used among the Jews or Chaldeans; NB¹: Unfortunately, I was unable to discover the details of the source in which the term actually occurs; NB²: The original spelling is most probably symphonia, which occurs in at least 1 of Pictet's publications (»La théologie chrétienne«, Tome III (Genève, M. D CC. XXI [1721]), p.157 & 159).
