Spelling according to the Colaiste na Pìobaireachd, Glaschu [College of Piping, Glasgow]: phìob mhòir (➺ OCLC website WorldCat); NB¹: Note the entry "a’ phìob mhòr" ["bagpipes"] in some sources; NB²: According to Mr. Colin MacDonald, Gaelic director of the Gaelic College at Englishtown, Nova Scotia, Canada, “A’ Phìob Mhòir” translates as “of the bagpipes”.
