Born and lived [?] in Jaworzynka [SW of Istebna]; A piper, mentioned in the 1930s by Mieczysław Gładysz in his book »Zdobnictwo metalowe na Śląsku« [Metal decorating in Silesia] (Kraków, 1938), p. XIV; His great-grandson, Henryk Bestwina (*1957) was born in Koniaków-Dachtony [SE of Istebna], but lives currently [i.e. in 2014; ws] in Straconka [a housing estate in the SE of Bielsko-Biała]; When Henryk was a kid, he played the Fujarka [a pastoral flute] when herding cows; Jan Kawulok "uod Wojtosza" taught him how to play the Gajdy, and he played, together with Zuzanna Kawulok, in the ensemble "Koniaków"; He has a Gajdy made by Zbigniew Wałach.
