Born and lived [?] in Jaworzynka-Hadasiula [a location I was unable to find on any map; ws]; He played the Gajdy and violin, which he learned from Jan Legierski ("ujec [uncle*] Mynorek") of Koniaków-Bukowina, and from Władysław Pabijan, who was a teacher at the Primary School in Koniaków; He used to perform mainly at (a) weddings, (b) "szkubaczki" [➺ Bernadeta Marekwica; ws], and (c) "chochoły" [?; The only definitions of "chochoł" I could find, are: (1) a straw doll, (2) a straw sheath in the shape of a standing sheaf, to protect young fruit trees, &c., from getting frosted, or (3) a small sheaf of corn, placed (with its ears down) on a corn stack or hive, as a cover against rain]; On the violin he played also classical music; *NB: ➺ Uncle (courteous title).
