From руча (ručà [to flow]); Inclined, lateral, pendulous, or even quasi-retrograde ( ➺ Drone positions); Sounding 2 octaves below the 5th of the chanter, it produces the tonica of the melody; Note the plural (ручила(та)) in Kacarova; NB: In Atanasova's English-Bulgarian dictionary oddly mentioned as the translation of blowpipe (➺ my remark to Duhalo).
