Ludri (gender unknown)

(with) definite article: ?
➺ remark(s) below
Piva

Most probably from Latin "ǔter" [goatskin/leather bag; wineskin; compare Ludro; ws]; 19th century; Gorizia/Gorica (surroundings; Slovenian minority); NB¹: It is conceivable that the initial "L" is a remnant of the definite article (which was introduced when the term entered the Italian language area). NB²: ➺ Lodèr (Emilia-Romagna, Italy), and Ludro (Croatia).
