Sackpijpe / Sack-pijpe (f)

(with) definite article: de
plural: Sackpijpen / Sack-pijpen; (with) definite article: de
(the) bag pipe
Doedelzak

From C. Kiliaan [Cornelis Kilianus of Corneel Kiel (1528/29?-1607)], »Dictionarium teutonico-latinum«, vol.II: »Etymologicum teutonicæ linguæ« (Antwerpen, 1577)*, who spells it "ſack-pijpe", and refers to Tibia vtricularis. *NB¹: Boone's reference suggests that these are two different books, which doesn't seem to be the case; Moreover, he appears to have misinterpreted the Roman numerals of the year of publication (MDCCLXXVII); NB²: The reference in WNT to Kiliaan regarding Sackpijpe is incorrect (➺ Kiliaan [above, and sources]); NB³; ➺ Moesel and Ruysch-pijpe; NB4: ➺ Remarks (regarding an engraving) to Moeselaer.
