➺ remark(s) below
Doedelzak

From Early Dutch "lollen" [to hum] ?; Lulle-pijpe is mentioned in Kiliaan, who locates it in Holl. [i.e. prov. Holland], Sicamb. [➺ Lul-pijp(e)], and Zeland [prov. Zeeland], referring to Tibia vtricularis; According to Boone, lullepijpe is mentioned already in H. [Hadrianus] Iunius, »Nomenclator, omnium rerum propria nomina variis linguis explicata indicans« (Paris, 1567 [sic]); The only edition of this book I was able to detect, however, appears to be published in Antwerp in 1577 (Antverpiæ, MDLXXVII) !; NB¹: Lullepijpe is mentioned in WNT; but with an incorrect reference to Kiliaan; NB²: ➺ related terms.
