1st part of a melody of the Zaj qeej genre; It is central to the ritual, directly addressing the soul, and followed by the Zaj ua ke; Catlin states that "The ritual melodies of Zaj kab ke are usually tripartite in structure. Each of the strophes (Nges (also Nqais)) is repeated three times, forming a unit (Tshooj). The end of each unit is marked by a tone played on a specific pipe [➺ Ntiv; ws]".
