From "diritta" [right (antonym of "left")]; Right hand chanter; The twin holes (for the little finger), 1 of which is always plugged, allow left-handed players to exchange the Manca and Ritta.

2 pieces (chanter of olive (Olea europæa), screwed into a bell of cherry (Prunus avium)); Leydi (1989) shows the range of the right-hand chanter of a 20 (b¹-c²-d²-e²-f²-g²) as an example (See my remark to the Manca (left-hand chanter) in details); Sparagna gives, though unfortunately not in staff-notation, the range of a 25 in A♭ of central Latium: g¹-a♭¹-b♭¹-c²-d♭²-e♭²; Range of a "30 normale", according to Ricci: e♭¹-e¹-f¹-g¹-a¹-b♭¹-c².
