According to Gioielli probably from Latin "calamus" [cane]; It has no fixed measures and a rather casual pitch, but it is always very short and has only 3 fingerholes, which are played with the fingers of 1 hand only.

Made of cane (Arundo donax); Total length, including bell: 155 mm (half of which sticks out of the bag); Max. Ø: 60 mm; The "fake" bell (45 mm) can be made of a small section of gourd, or of specially cut and shaped plastic, cardboard or other material.
