Common melodical figure in which the first and third tones are the same, while the middle tone is a second or a third above them ("Arapikku a krai de susu" [… with a tone upwards]) or below them ("Arapikku a krai de sotto" [… with a tone downwards]); Bakx’s interpretation (i.e. "the sequence of three tones, the second tone of which is higher/lower than the first or [instead of and; ws] the third") is utterly inaccurate.
