air reservoir: flexible (usually of animal skin), ready for the insertion of stocks

Identical types: 103

Commonly used term for the bag of "all" bagpipes of Wielkopolska [Greater Poland].

Made of calf-, goat-, or sheepskin, or, recently, in the surroundings of Śmigiel, county Kościan (Wielkopolska), rubber (caoutchouc); Because it is cheap, tight and strong, pipers nowadays [i.e. mid-20th century; ws] prefer calfskin, so new bagpipes usually have calfskin bags; The maximum bag length recorded by Sobieska is 590 mm; The sewing technique, applied to keep the seam inside the bag, is called "na omółkę" [like a mussel (Mytilus edulis); Official Polish spelling (nominative): omułek; ws]).
