Questionable spelling by Montbel in the caption to the reproduction of the plate on p.306 in Mersenne, vol. 5, who used it, however, (on only one occasion) in connection with the Haut-bois de Poi(c)tou (➺ p.305), with which it formed a (seemingly inseparable) duo; NB: ➺ my remarks to Cornemuse de Poitou.
