Cimpoile (n)

➺ remark(s) below
Cimpoi / Cimpoĭ

Dubious term, apparently a plural form, occasionally used (seemingly only in colloquial speech) to denote a single instrument [Compare bagpipe(s); ws]; NB¹: Note the odd discrepancy in the spelling of the term for "piper" (cimpoieşul vs cimpoiaşul); NB²: ➺ Cărăbi and Cimpoaie; NB³: Enigmatically, the term doesn't occur in the source mentioned by Alexandru (➺ the internet links to the original text by Aron Vodă).
