Born in San Polo Matese [SW of Campobasso]; A piper who deserves special mention; He started playing at the age of 14; In 1975 he was the victim of a very serious accident at work, in which he lost the use his right arm; In 1986 he started dreaming of playing his Zampogna again; In order to be able doing so, he exchanged the position of the chanters and designed a special key for the Manca; He went to Gerardo Guatieri, who improved the key, which Angelo operates with his little finger while playing the Ritta with the rest; With the use of a leather shoulder-strap the instrument remains hanging, thus allowing to be "managed" with one hand.
