Arrefinu (m)

(with) definite article: ? [su?]: s’
➺ remark(s) below

tuning-hole

Identical types: 36

From "raffinai" [to adjust; to weigh out precisely]; The lowermost hole of both melody-pipes; Tuned to the drone in octave, decime or duodecime, its tone should merge completely, to allow an effect of pause and staccato playing, achieved with closed fingering, which is the most common Launeddas playing technique; Though actually a venthole, it seems that Sardinian players don’t consider it as such, but they would never call it a Krai (fingerhole).
