Gajda

From Turkish "huni" [funnel]; It derives its name from the funnel-shaped drone bell; District Svrljig, before 1914 (NB¹: ➺ Gajde golemo, Gajde srednje, and Male gajde); NB²: Like the similar Karabe, this instrument used to be more popular here than the Gajda; Thought to be brought from district Pirot; NB³: ➺ Hunâe; NB4: ➺ homonym (drone bell [synonym of Čaška]).
