Morisku / Moriscu (m)
(with) definite article: suCabras (prov. Oristano); According to Weis Bentzon, "Extinct for many years [i.e. in 1969; ws], it must have been a kuntsertu of its own. It had the same two chanters as the Ispinellu, but was played with the higher one [i.e. the Mankosedda; ws] with the right hand, contrary to the practice of other places". Bakx mentions it as one of 8 obsolete or rarely used types (the other 7 being the Fiorassiu argentinu, Fiuda allirga, Fiuda bagadia in fa minore, Mediana in re maggiore, Mesu puntu, Punt’’e Kirias, and Tertsu puntu), stating that some (though failing to specify which) of these are, as he calls them, "fake" kuntsertus; NB: ➺ Domenicu Madeddu.
Mankosedda (in G): Arrefinu: d¹; Krais: g¹-a¹-b¹-c²; Mankosa manna: Arrefinu: d¹; Krais: f♯¹-g¹-a¹-b¹; Tumbu: G.
